UPTET 2026 Notification: Educational Qualification
- For Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level)
- Candidates must have passed Graduation from a recognised University established by law and recognised by UGC, and be appearing in the final year or having passed the 2-year D.El.Ed (BTC) from an institution recognised by NCTE
- Candidates must have passed Graduation with a Diploma in Education (D.Ed) / Special Education
- Candidates must have passed Graduation with a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate with at least 50% marks and be appearing in the final year, or have passed the 4-year B.El.Ed
- For Classes 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level)
- Candidates must have passed Graduation from a recognised University, and be appearing in the final year or have passed the 2-year D.El.Ed (BTC)
- Candidates must have passed Graduation/Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed

How to Apply for the UPTET Online Form 2026
- Step 1: Go to the official website: upessc.up.gov.in
- Step 2: On homepagrs find out the “NOTICE BOARD” click onview all then find out the “उ० प्र० शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (UPTET-2026) -: ऑनलाइन आवेदन फॉर्म” click on it.
- Step 3: Click on “New Registration” and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) by entering your basic details.
- Step 4: Log in using your Mobile Number / Email / OTR ID, along with your Password and Security Verification, and then click on Login.
- Step 5: Fill in the application form by entering your personal details, adding your educational qualifications, selecting Paper 1, Paper 2, or both, and choosing your exam centre.
- Step 6: Upload Documents such as a passport-sized photo, a signature, and any required certificates.
- Step 7: Pay Application Fee
