Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVST) Class 6 Admission Started From 16 July 2024

NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti) is inviting online applications for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST)- 2025.

Eligible applicants can apply online for the JNVST exam  Class 6 Admission from 16 July to 16 September 2024 for the session 2025-26 by visiting the official website navodaya.gov.in or from the link provided below in this article.

The JNVST exam will be conducted for admission to Class-VI in the JNVs through the Selection Test for the Session 2025-26.

JNVST 2025 Important Dates

NVS has released the JNVST 2025 (NVS Class-6 Admission) official Notification on 16 July 2024. Online applications started from 16 July 2024 and the last date to apply for the JNVST 2025 (NVS Class-6 Admission) is 16 September 2024.

NVS Class-6 Admission Test will be held on 18 January 2025. For the hilly areas the exam will be held on 12 April 2025.

JNVST 2025 Application Fees

There is no application fee to apply for the Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVST) Class 6 Admission. Only applicants have to fill out the application form and submit it

JNV Admission 2024 Age Limit

A candidate born between May 1, 2013 and July 31, 2015 (both dates included). At the time of admission, the provisionally selected candidate must present a copy of his or her birth certificate issued by the appropriate government entity. This will apply to candidates from all categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).

Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6 Educational Qualification

Admission to Class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) is district-specific. Candidates must be studying in Class V in the same district where they seek admission. Only bona fide residents of the district where the JNV is located and who are currently studying in Class V in that district are eligible to apply through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).

Provisionally selected candidates must submit valid residential proof, as notified by the Government of India, showing their parents’ residency in the same district where the candidate studied Class V and took the JNVST.

Additionally, candidates must reside in the district where they are seeking admission, and their parents’ bona fide residence certificate must be presented during the document verification process after provisional selection.

Candidates must have studied Class V in any government or government-recognized school in the same district during the 2024-25 academic year. Candidates who have completed Class V before the 2024-25 session or are repeat applicants are not eligible.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) reserves the right to compare application data from previous years to identify repeat applicants. If any such cases are found, those candidates will not be allowed admission to JNVs through the JNVST 2025.

10. For candidates seeking admission under the rural quota, parents must also present a document from the relevant authority indicating that their kid completed classes III, IV, and V in a rural institution/school.
